Senior Director, Scholarship and Financial Aid (Search Extended)

The Director serves as the chief financial aid officer for Oklahoma State University. Provides management direction and supervision of OSU Scholarships and Financial Aid and is directly responsible for the administration of approximately 317 million in federal state private and institutional student financial aid. This responsibility includes the administration and management of a variety of grant loan and scholarship programs in compliance with federal state and institutional regulations and policies. Development of financial aid leveraging strategies. Development and administration of student financial aid and departmental budgets. Utilization of a fully-integrated student information system Provide leadership and administrative support for enrollment management working closely with the University community to build effective relationships and communicate the regulatory requirements strategies and actions of the department both on and off campus. Institutional representative to groups organizations association and governmental agencies. Responsible for the training supervision evaluation of support staff and maintenance of an exceptional level of student and customer service. The Director reports to the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Marketing and serves as a member of the leadership team interacting within the Enrollment Management environment to develop strategies for growth. Pay within the hiring range will be commensurate with education and experience. Minimum qualifications Bachelor degree and a minimum of five years demonstrated progressive experience in student financial aid administration to include at least three years at the assistant director or higher level in a higher education institute. Requires Knowledge of administration of federal financial aid programs processes and regulations. Knowledge and experience with automated systems and data processing ability to effectively use computer technology in all operations. Team builder with excellent interpersonal and analytical skills and ability to work effectively with staff current and prospective students parents and constituents. Outstanding oral written interpersonal and presentation communication stills. Ability to be proactive innovative and solutions oriented.
