12 Piece Place Setting -- Vintage - Circa 1970s or older. - Narumi Fine China (Japan) - Harriet Pattern 5170 052813 Approximately 96 pieces total. -- Blue Gray Floral design with gray leaves on a white china background finished with a platinum ring around brim. Very attractive Some pieces do have some chips and scratches. A few pieces have some fading to pattern. Most notably fading is the salad cereal soup bowls. (See photos). Additional photos available. Overall condition is excellent exhibiting a nice shine as if they were new. The Narumi Corporation was founded in 1911 as Imperial Seito. The name subsequently changed to Nagoya Seito before becoming Narumi China Corporation in 1950 having built a new plant in Narumi Japan in 1938. Some Narumi wares were marketed by Mikasa. Narumi is known for its high quality porcelain and bone china. It exports a large amount to the United States and is found in hotels restaurants and airlines.
