Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Supervisor Port Alberni - Job ID 2081 Position Overview Reporting to the Maintenance Manager this role provides leadership to a crew of trades people and technical support staff to support our integrated and fast-paced operating mill. Responsibilities Ensure maintenance services are effectively planned coordinated and delivered on time while meeting cost and quality standards. Maintain and improve an effective preventative maintenance program for the operations to ensure maximum equipment efficiency and reliability. Develop implement and maintain maintenance standards and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency and performance of mill equipment. Ensure maintenance and repair budgets are prepared met and variances explained with appropriate action taken as needed Ensure E I areas are manned with a capable workforce by applying succession planning systems effective coaching processes accountable leadership practices and effective training. Take a leading role in developing strategies for technology migration to avoid obsolescence within the context of continuous plant operations. Requirements A proven track record in an operating Industrial environment Experience in Power Generation and Distribution Systems to 132KV Experience with DCS PLC and legacy control systems Demonstrated leadership skills Safety awareness Strong problem solving abilities Team focus Keen interpersonal skills including the ability to coach others Leadership characteristics demonstrating the ability to drive customer focus lead change provide direction and involve and motivate others Self-starter An appropriate Technical degree or diploma or Trade Qualifications and 10 years related experience is required for this position.
