JOB SUMMARY To lead a group of territory managers in obtaining profitable sales for the company that align with company sales and marketing strategies JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES SUMMARY To manage and direct a group of Territory Managers while maintaining direct contact with them and their customer base in order to achieve and exceed budget Makes decisions regarding pricing and profitability levels Works with Territory Managers to insure maximum sample placement (rack programs samples sets etc.) Works with Divisional Vice President to insure proper product placement and turn levels out of the regional warehouses Constantly provides mill with market and competitive information Supports the company with information from the field and maintain open lines of communication between all departments Supervision Received Full supervision received from Divisional Vice President Authority and Accountabilities Functional and administrative supervision of Territory Managers including hiring training termination of employment and compensation recommendations Leading and providing guidance with regards to Territory Managers performance by reviewing performance and business conditions reports on a consistent and productive basis High degree of latitude in accomplishing duties although works within guidelines set by Sales and Marketing Executive Leadership Monitors all sales expenditures pertaining to the Territory Managers as well as Regional SGA Managers must also dress and groom in professional manner along with acting within company policy in all situations Work Environment Outside sales environment must be able to travel Job Qualifications A. Training Education License Certification Registrations Minimum Requirements Bachelors Degree Preferred Computer literate e-mail Microsoft Office applications etc. B. Experience Minimum Requirements Successful background in sales preferably in the carpet industry 3 years as a territory manager 2 years of managerial experience C. Physical Requirements Must be able to frequently lift or carry up to 40lbs. Must be able to drive for long periods of time Must be able to enter and exit an automobile multiple times per day May require working longer than standard eight hour day Must be able to build and disassemble sample displays routinely Must be able to go up and down stairs carrying samples that weigh up to 40lbs Seated work is required (computer phone sales calls)
