Job Summary Reporting to the Procurement Manager the Procurement Assistant will make multiple calls per day to inquire regarding any unused medical dental equipment for sale. The assistant will document conversations in appropriate software and sort through computerized systems to discover used equipment purchase opportunities. They will balance call quantity with quality and thoroughness of prospecting while portraying a reputable image of the company. This position will have the opportunity to travel a minimum of one week per month to various cities across the nation. They will coordinate schedules for moving and or disassembling equipment and removing from office or storage. They will support our procurement agents in the field by safely packing equipment for transport and relocating equipment to a facility. They should portray a reputable image of the company and provide courteous and professional customer service to external and internal customers and perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Consistent positive attitude Communicate in clear easy-to-understand English Experience establishing relationships over the telephone Basic computer skills Familiarity with Windows software Ability to understand the physical aspects of medical equipment Light construction disassembly skills Adapt to a changing social physical environment Ability to Identify sensitive pieces of equipment and ensure they are safely moved and stored Ability to lift up to 50 pounds periodically. Ability to travel via airplane and motor vehicle. All selected candidates must complete a drug screening and criminal background check.
