This position assists assembling control panels and transformers for generator s and electrical control components. Key responsibilities - Perform a variety of complex production assembly operations and inspects finished product to ensure compliance with production standards and specifications. - Assembling components by examining connections for correct fit fastening parts wire other products as needed. - Provide training to assigned personnel to assure understanding and application of all equipment tools and the different phases of production. - Responsible for the quality of all finished products and that they are within the design specifications. - Inspects finished products for conformance to specifications. - Make sure all materials and supplies needed to do the job are ready and available. - Implement and maintain a level of cross training so effective functional backups can guarantee maintaining production when needed. - Promote teamwork and active cooperation among the team. - Maintains a clean work area and ensures strict adherence to work instructions. - Regular attendance and maintaining a good attendance record is an essential function of the job. - Meets or exceeds productivity and quality standards. - Other duties as required. Requirements - Must have previous electrical and mechanical assembly experience. - Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver s license. - Must be punctual responsible and reliable. - Must be able to write & read English. - Ability to work with multi-meter calipers and basic hand power tools. - Basic math skills. - Must have experience working in a production and assembly line environment. - Must have good hand-eye coordination and be able to work with small parts. - Must be able to use both hands and arms in repetitive motion. - Must be able to work overtime as required. - Ability to follow specific oral or written instructions. - Ability to work in a fast pace environment. - Ability to work independently and in a team environment. - Maintaining safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures rules and regulations. - Must be able to demonstrate good attention to detail resulting in the production of high quality product. - Must be able to pass background check and physical and drug screen. Physical Demands - Ability to stand throughout an 8 hour day shift. - Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. on an occasional basis. - Hand finger dexterity to grasp and manipulate small parts and tools. Occasionally duties may vary from above as deemed necessary by business conditions as required.
