Calling All Singers - Price: $10

Join us as we sing three major choral works Alto Rhapsody by Johannes Brahms for alto soloist and men s chorus Gloria by Imant Raminsh for soprano soloist and women s chorus and Five Mystical Songs by Ralph Vaughan Williams for baritone soloist and full chorus. The community choir is sponsored by Central Congregational Church of Chelmsford and will present the concert on Sunday September 8 at 7 30 P.M. Rehearsals are on Sundays at 7 30 starting August 4 plus a Saturday afternoon rehearsal on September 7. All are welcome to sing. The Brahms with a text by Goethe is one of the most lush works of the 19th century. It tells of a wandering lost soul. But isn t there one sound that will rekindle his heart and revive him The Raminsh Gloria uses the traditional Latin text and just sparkles. The Vaughan Williams has it all it s just glorious There is a fee of 10 charged to each singer to help cover expenses. Frances Burmeister Director of Music at CCC will conduct .
