Looking for a puppy for my 6 year old Autistic son.

My 6 year old son is lonely. He very badly wants friends but has trouble being social. We have noticed on many occasions how he calms right down when he is around dogs. We can provide a great loving home for a dog. I am also a stay at home mom... and my son is home schooled... so the puppy would have lots of attention. As well I would like my son to take the new puppy to puppy obedience school so they can learn together and build a a strong connection.Please let me know if you have something available. We are hoping not to spend a fortune as we are a one income family.
