Through no fault of my own I found myself in a scary shelter. They found out I was positive for heartworm so they are treating me and once I ve completed the treatment I ll be hitching a ride to DC I am past the crazy puppy phase but at 3 years old I still have a lot of life left in me. I am looking forward to joining an active household and testing my couch warming skills when all the playing walking and dog park time is done.Like most shelter dogs Dan may need a refresher on housetraining. He is likely crate trained. Dan has tested positive and is being treated for Heartworm disease. Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm if left untreated is life threatening but after treatment dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. The adoption fee for this dog is 450 which includes the cost of routine vetting including vaccinations spay neuter and heartworm treatment.
