A Place Called Home is a socially responsible independent film We are seeking Social Media Volunteers to support and enhance our online presence. A Place Called Home is is a film with a dual purpose to entertain and bring attention to homeless LGBT youth - a subject that is timely and sensitive so applicants should be comfortable handling social justice issues. We are committed to inspiring positive change through our film. This is a virtual position with flexible hours and we are looking for volunteer activists who recognize the overwhelming need to bring attention to and positive change for homeless LGBT kids and will commit to giving us their all for a day a week a month (or longer). Must have -A desire to inspire hope and change-All majors are welcome but social media political science public relations mass communication and filmmaking are the best fit. -Must be competent with social media -Coursework on social media and marketing is helpful but not necessary.-It is helpful if the candidate has a large social media following. The persons in the role will have the following day-to-day tasks -Manage an aggressive social media campaign for A Place Called Home.-Create memes and other concepts that will attract people to our pages raise awareness help build excitement and donations. -Monitor other social media for ways to join conversations. -Distribute posts via social media sites to create a significant online presence and following. -Seek ways to partner with organizations and individuals in the world of social media. -Create and recruit people to sign a petition on Change.org.
