Childbirth Preparation CPC-Saturday Class

This course is offered as an all day course FEE COVERS BOTH THE EXPECTANT MOTHER AND A SUPPORT PERSON. Expectant parents are encouraged to take this course during the 6th or 7th month of pregnancy. Course discussion includes the process of labor and delivery the coach s role breathing and relaxation techniques pain management options and Cesarean childbirth. This course also includes newborn characteristics newborn care infant CPR and the post-partum (after delivery) period. A tour of the Women s Center and Transition nursery will be provided as part of the course. Parents will have the opportunity to practice basic baby care procedures such as swaddling diapering and sponge bathing. A nonrefundable payment of 50.00 per couple is required at the time of registration.
