The US side of the lake is Voyageurs Nation Park the Canadian side of the lake is Quietico Provincial Park. Accessed is gained by entering through Ash River Trail Kabetogama Lake or Crane Lake. Total fishing boating acreage is 43 557 acres of water. The island also has an additional 16 x20 cabin and one floating dock.
