Skills and Qualifications Problem solving a good mechanical aptitude and the ability to conduct inspections to assess damage and costs and perform the necessary repairs. Must be able to identify and use the correct tools to cut off old parts connect new parts fill holes repair scratches dents and dings and make the car look as good as new after damage in an accident or other incident.
