Location Commerce Dr. Pittsburgh PA Department 1220 Materials-ServiceDescriptionThis is a highly visible Supply Chain role that will oversee the control of ZOLL s site materials. It is a hands-on position responsible for developing and executing material control plans that will enable the company to ensure accurate inventory levels and consistent support of production material requirements. Additional responsible include shipping receiving product returns and return material agreements. Collaboration with other members of the Supply Chain Production Sales Marketing and Support Services teams is paramount to achieve these objectives. This individual will create metrics to measure performance and identify improvement opportunities. This position will perform in a manner that keeps ZOLL s Company Mission Purpose and Vision Statements in mind. Proper execution of these responsibilities results in high level of customer service accurate inventories and ensuring that compliance is maintained.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Must demonstrate proficiency and productivity in a fast paced environment with unscheduled interruptions while maintaining acceptable judgment responsibility and assumption for decisions consequences and results. Ensures continuous supply of material to production while support inventory objectives. Lead departmental meetings and conduct regular 1 1 meetings with staff. Reviews records and reports to make recommendations for remedial action for reported non- usable obsolete slow moving end of life and excess stock. Determines work procedures prepares work schedules and expedites workflow that optimizes labor efficiency. Accountable for performing cycle counts scheduling and leading periodic inventories. Ensures accuracy of data in the ERP System by tracing history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records. Recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies. Commitment to establishing and maintaining a safe work environment. Compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies. Supervisory Responsibilities Must demonstrate proficient ability to directly supervise materials personnel in a manner consistent with company policies and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing hiring and training employees Planning assigning and directing work appraising performance rewarding and disciplining employees addressing complaints and resolving problems. Maintains and creates Standard Operating Procedures as necessary to define processes and responsibilities.Qualifications To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest commissions proportions percentages area circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form.
