Hemodialysis Technicians work hand in hand with a team of Clinicians. They are responsible for patient observation dialysis machine set-up and maintenance while working in tandem with a nephrologist doctor and a dialysis nurse when providing dialysis treatment for patients. Technicians work very closely with their patients and are an essential part of the team in delivering quality patient care. All clinical hours will be at Universal Kidney Centers. Courses - Introduction to Health care - Medical office Practice - Diseases of the Human Body - Pharmacology - Principles of Hemodialysis - Basic Clinical Procedures - Pre and Post Patient Assessment - Dialysis Delivery Systems - Fundamentals of Renal Nutrition - Dialysis treatment of Renal Disease - Dialysis Quality and Safety Procedures - Advanced Dialysis Procedures - Hemodialysis Externship Program Length - Total Contact Hours 795 (FULL-TIME) - Approximately 7 months.
