Academic Program Specialist

Manage responsibilities associated with Great Plains Interactive Distance Education Alliance Graduate Programs in the College of Human Sciences. Coordinate credit and non-credit outreach course support functions offered by the College (e.g. study abroad and online courses). Adviser to undergraduates regarding study abroad opportunities. Travel is required as necessary. This may include out-of-state or in-state travel. Additionally it may be necessary to attend meetings and professional development conferences out of town. Required qualifications Bachelor degree in Human Sciences or related discipline two or more years of related experience and demonstrated ability to work effectively with students colleagues and the general public. Requires self-motivated individual with demonstrated leadership and management skills who enjoys working with students faculty staff and the general public. Ability to communicate with a diverse audience and articulate programs in the college to both internal and external audiences. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to handle confidential matters is vital. Proficiency with the latest technology and appropriate software is required. Preferred qualifications Master s degree in Human Sciences or related field and 2-5 years of progressively responsible administrative duties. Familiarity with all areas of Human Sciences and with Oklahoma State University policies and procedures is desirable.
