A group of volunteers has started a committee to establish a Pets for Vets chapter in New jersey. The national organization has over thirty chapters around the country but none in New Jersey. The organization matches military veterans many with decades old emotional issues stemming from service to the county with shelter dogs needing a home. Rescued animals are trained before being matched and supplies and ongoing support is provided for a year after adoption. We need all kinds of volunteers a spokesman said.
