Job Title In-Home Educator (Teaching) Supervisor Area Coordinator Department Independent Living Skills Adaptive Skills Training and Parenting Training Hours of Work To be assigned based on client s needs Salary Hourly - Based on Experience Job Description Teach a variety of skills to people with Developmental Disabilities Job Summary Perform a variety of confidential services including communication self care skills parenting money management travel training etc. Job Duties Provide in-home services follow Individual Service Plan Locate community resources Complete all hours assigned Maintain accurate records submit all reports as needed Identify and report possible abuse and neglect. Requirements Must have experience working with persons with Developmental Disabilities. Must have a minimum of two years of educational experience in the following areas liberal arts medical social services and psychology. Must have a current CPR First Aid certification. Must pass a Department of Justice background check and a Pre-Employment Drug Screen. Work Environment Working in clients homes servicing clients in Tulare and Kings County visits to schools social settings grocery stores mall SSI DMV banks etc. Must have reliable transportation clean driving record and current auto insurance. Abilities Must be able to do the following communicate effectively organize make simple calculations multitask have good time management and be creative to teach the clients goals.
