The License and Permit Specialist I performs routine licensing and permitting work. The License and Permit Specialist (LPS) works with internal and external customers to approve requests to sell alcoholic beverages. The LPS investigates and makes determinations based on their research. This is a perfect entry level position for someone that is able think abstractly and learn new processes quickly Below is a brief list of duties Receives reviews and processes license and permit applications and revisions in accordance with policies and procedures. Inputs license and permit applications payments and required technical data into appropriate computer applications and systems. Issues licenses and permits collects and verifies licensing and permit fees and reimburses fees to denied applicants.Qualifications Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent and four (4) years of work experience performing complex application processing and or investigations.-- OR- Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent and one year of TABC work experience exclusively performing application processing and investigations.-- OR- Bachelor s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Business Administration or related field.
