Computer Operations Manager

Plans executes and finalizes projects according to set deadlines. This includes coordinating the efforts of systems staff other financial aid staff and third parties as needed in order to complete projects in accordance with predetermined timelines. Serves as the resource person for Scholarship and Financial Aid computer systems under the guidance of the Associate Director of Administrative Services.Supervises the development implementation of new software tools for Financial Aid. Looks for ways to enhance the Financial Aid process. Investigates and proposes enhancements to the Financial Aid delivery process. In addition to supervising projects this position must be able to function as a senior application developer as required. Must attend frequent Banner training and implement new procedures and programming because of system migration. Must also be prepared to train others on the new system (Banner). Coordination between staff Financial Aid and other entities. Required qualifications Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related information technology field and two years experience working in a computer programming and or information technology project management capacity. Ability to problem-solve using critical thinking skills logic-based reasoning and analytical procedures. Mastery of basic computing and Microsoft toolsets. Familiarity with technologies used to administer Scholarships and Financial Aid including SAS Focus Web Focus SQL Microsoft Access Visual Studio OSU E-Print etc. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Preferred qualifications Experience with Student Information Systems and or Financial Aid Management Systems especially Banner by Ellucian. Experience with web development and support.
