School Building and Grounds

Pursuant to Section 707 of the Public School Code of 1949 as amended 24 P.S. Section 101 et seq. by formal action of its Board of School Directors on June 5 2018 the JUNIATA COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT ( District ) determined to sell Walker Elementary School Building and Grounds ( the Property ). The Property includes an approximately 12 400 square foot building and approximately 8.4 acres and is located in Walker Township Juniata County Pennsylvania with a street address of 7864 William Penn Highway Mifflintown Pennsylvania 17059.The Property will be sold by sealed bid to the highest bidder. Notwithstanding the foregoing the District reserves the right to reject any and all bids.Bidders must include a Certified Check in an amount equal to Ten (10% ) Percent of their bid. In addition the successful buyer must pay certain costs of the transaction including the entire transfer tax (2%). Additional information and the terms and conditions of the sale are included in the Bid Packet which is available at the Administrative Office 146 Weatherby Way Mifflintown Pennsylvania 17059. Bidders must use the bid form provided by the District which is part of the Bid Packet. The Property will be available for inspection on August 1 2018 from 4 00 to 6 00 P.M. Any prospective bidders wishing an additional opportunity for inspection should contact the Administrative Offices at 717-436-2111 ext. 5021. The sealed bid must be delivered to the District Administrative Office no later than August 7 2018 at 2 00 P.M. prevailing time at which point the bids will be opened and read aloud. Action will be taken on the bids at the regular monthly meeting on August 16 2018 at 8 00 PM at the District s administration office 146 Weatherby Way Mifflintown PA.
