The PBIS will work collaboratively as part of the educational staffing team to promote student success and a positive school culture.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Promote and model CARE and TCI principles within the culture of the school milieu Utilize Restorative Justice Practices within the classroom and educational setting for re-entry meetings conflict resolution meetings classroom check-in circles fishbowl circles. Organize and deliver professional development training of Restorative Justice Practices for educational staff. Develop and implement incentive plans for individual students and or classrooms which promote CARE principles Utilize a strength-based approach with students by emphasizing the use of positive feedback developing relationships and ensuring the students feel valued within the school setting. Organize and oversee student led initiatives such as positive peer mentorships student council and civil rights team Organize traditional seasonal educational activities for students Provide individualized and or small group support to maintain students emotional and behavioral needs within the milieu EDUCATION Bachelor of Science degree in Education Special Education Psychology Social Work or closely related field.CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED Maintain a valid state driver s license.EXPERIENCE Two years within a day treatment setting.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Personal characteristics and temperament suitable for working with persons with special needs. Assists staff by having knowledge of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) and using the TCI procedure effectively.
