1968 Chevy C10

Arguably one of the more radically modified 67- 72 C-10 s built. Thousands of professional man hours went into the construction of this innovative machine. Originally a long bed pickup not a Blazer the bed was grafted to the cab to create the unibody design. A stiff 4 X4 tube chassis was constructed to ensure the bed stay attached to the cab. The front and rear wheels have both been moved forward to give the truck its 109 wheelbase. The rigid chassis short wheel base and low stance allow the truck to corner extremely well. I have put 2 700 miles on the odometer since its completion. Although it drives great what makes it really stand out are the countless body modifications. Most notably the hundreds of inches of welding it took to reshape the hood the dash that mimics the shape of the side of the truck and the back end of the vehicle which was created from scratch. The truck has a very aggressive stance and look to it. You get so many double takes and people scratching their heads it feels as though you re riding in a Ferrari or some exotic car because the body is so uniquely shaped. Truly is one of a kind. I built the truck mainly for myself to drive so I have only had it to 3 major West Coast car shows. If you like awards it seems to do very well. Was shot last summer for Street Trucks magazine although I m not sure when the magazine will come out. Will be at the Salem OR Roadster Show March 7th & 8th.
