Network Specialist

This position is responsible for the installation maintenance and analysis of OSU s network and telephone infrastructure including switches wireless access points VoIP phone systems and PBX phone systems. Additionally this position will maintain OSU s Network Management Systems (NMS) and DNS DHCP services. Required to be in an on-call stand-by status for after hours and weekend emergencies on a rotating basis. Due to communication expectations of the position the incumbent will be required to maintain cellular or other electronic communication device. The incumbent s salary includes additional compensation to apply toward the use of their personal cellular device. May also require occasional travel. Work is in both controlled and uncontrolled environmental areas. Position may encounter normal dangers associated with work in mechanical areas and areas where remodeling or new construction are in progress. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and repetitive climbing of stairs and ladders. OSU Tulsa is primary assignment location. Required qualifications High School GED and four years of enterprise networking experience. Years of Information Technology related post-secondary education may be substituted for years of required experience. Preferred qualifications Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Management of Information Systems Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Three years of enterprise networking experience. Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA). Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA). Network . Experience with the installation maintenance and analysis of enterprise data VoIP PBX and wireless network infrastructure.
