Academic Advisor II

Serve as academic advisor for students pursuing certificates in Pre-Nursing Pre-Medical Sciences and Pre-Healthcare Administration as well as freshmen and undecided students. Help students to learn and understand academic requirements policies and procedures. Collaborate with the Director of Pre-Professional Advising and area professional schools to maintain relationships and up-to-date entrance requirements. Demonstrate initiative in contacting advises regarding academic difficulties attendance missed enrollment dates scholarship opportunities relevant activities etc. Complete and submit graduation checks. Teach first year seminar course (A& S 1111) each fall semester. Occasional travel for recruiting or networking. Work schedule other than 8 00 a.m. to 5 00 p.m. Monday to Friday as needed. Minimum Qualifications Master s Degree. One - Three years of experience related to academic advising. Preferred Qualifications Field of Study Arts & Sciences discipline Health Prof or Std Personnel Services or related field. 1 year of experience directly related to OSU academic advising.
