A prominent company specializing in construction risk management is seeking to hire a Transportation Construction Inspector (highway roadway).REQUIREMENTSAssociate s degree in Civil or Construction Engineering or NICET highway Construction Level II are a must. Must have a minimum of 2 years experience working on highway roadway construction projects. Experience working on ODOT and or Ohio Turnpike projects is considered a plus Ideal candidates be prequalified as an ODOT Project Inspector Structures Inspector or Traffic Inspector. May consider if candidate has the ability to become prequalified within 90 days. Must have passed the Flexible Pavement Test ACI Concrete Field Testing Tech (Grade level 1) and the Ohio Level I Aggregate Technician course. DUTIESResponsible for providing daily inspection of construction work within a given discipline to ensure the project is in compliance with plans and specifications Observe field work to ensure workmanship and materials meet standards Proactively alert project management professionals to issues that may come up in the field and provide solutions to mitigate those problems. Must be able to document the work via ODOT or the Ohio Turnpike s daily inspection report and various other reports.
