Our client is well established Major Bank looking for Security Specialist RSA SIEM Location Scarborough ON Duration 12 months contract position with strong possibility of further extension Summary Security Specialist III The manager is looking to engage suitable resource as the Security Operations team require to hire contractors to sustain the security posture. If not hired SOX related logging and monitoring activities will be impacted and organization will be taking significant risk due to security incidents will not be monitored and remediated timely. Candidates will be shortlisted as soon as we receive qualified candidates. Please be mindful while submitting the candidates. Communications technical and leadership skills are equally important for this role. Must haves Strong understanding of routing protocols NIDS HIPS Intrusion Detection Systems Firewalls and Vulnerability Assessments and Malware Analysis Strong understanding of Logging and Monitoring technologies Min 5 years of Security Operations or similar experience Solid exp with RSA or similar SIEM platforms is definite asset. Good Understanding OS level security principles for UNIX and Windows platforms Project management skills including planning sustainability controls and risk mitigation Strong problem analysis and problem solving skills. Self-interest to keep abreast with technology and industry best practices Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as a strong team player Great people skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Passionate about your work and creating quality solutions Nice to have ITIL certification is an asset. Cisco CCDA CCDP CCNA or CCNP are definite assets.
