A R and Denial Management job requirements Follow up on denied unprocessed insurance claims in a timely manner or follow up with insurance companies if no response is received within a specific time frame Adhere to insurance company policies and procedures while keeping abreast of all updates and changes to insurance carrier claims processing procedures Obtain necessary documentation (medical records notes patient agreement etc.) and submit to insurance carrier for claim payment arbitration Identify trends in billing issues denials & resolving issues for aged claims Refunds Track your work and update spreadsheets Job Qualifications At least two years of experience in medical billing and revenue cycle is required Understanding the claim submission process Knowledge of CPT coding and ICD-9 Understanding of medical and insurance terminology Compliance Law & Ethics (HIPPA) Good communication and interpersonal skills Bi-lingual (English & Spanish) is a plus Education Required High School graduate or equivalent Computer Skills Familiar with medical billing software systems Proficient in MSFT Office Word Excel and Outlook Navigating Windows and the Internet This is a high volume fast paced and exciting environment.
