Although I have only three years of teaching experience I have worked with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles. I took up the challenge of teaching students with learning and social emotional disabilities as my 1st teaching experience. It proved to be a life changing opportunity. In my class I worked with 5-8 middle school or high school special education students who were each at different math levels. This means I had to work 1 on one with each student and evaluate what accommodations I had to make for each one. This was the best part of my job and that in which I excelled in. Because of this my students turned their math scores and grades around quickly. When once these students hated math and failed now they experienced success....
