POSITION GPS Field Technician LOCATION 1 in Woodland & 1 in Oroville (near Chico) JOB SUMMARY Responsible for performing installation and support of equipment and applications pertaining to agricultural and construction machine control products. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Specific duties include Responsible for performing field equipment installations and trouble shooting of systems. Performs service and repairs of customer laser instruments and GPS systems. Analyzes troubleshoots and repairs a variety of equipment problems. This includes troubleshooting to the component level. Performs all types of mechanical and electronic assembly tasks to repair systems and sub-systems and implement engineering field changes. Responsible for customer support of equipment and applications. May train customers or other service personnel on repair or use of standard products. Analyzes troubleshoots and repairs current and discontinued equipment returned from customers where understanding of the total instrument is required to insure complete repair. Ability to lift 50 pounds. SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Thorough knowledge of computer usage and basic software such as Word Outlook and Excel software. Basic electronic knowledge and hydraulic knowledge desirable. WORKING CONDITIONS Occasionally may be required to work over 40 hours per week but must have overtime pre-authorized by supervisor. May work out of town on occasion.
