Anne Arundel Community College and MK Education are excited to bring YOU a Central Sterile Processing Training Program for Fall 2014 Central Sterile Processing Technician Career Overview Central Sterile Processing Technician decontaminate inspect assemble and sterile instruments and surgical trays. The technician also manages inventory control order and supplies inspects maintains and delivers and retrieves equipment and instruments for the surgery suite emergency room and intensive care units. This allows them to ensure the efficient management storage and maintenance of medical devices. Program Overview This program is allocated into classroom participation lab simulations to identify clean and store surgical and other common usable instruments that require sterility. Some topics covered in this program include anatomy and physiology medical terminology infection prevention and control tools for cleaning safety and decontamination. Graduates of this program will have understanding of central service work flow basic job knowledge and skills basic job responsibilities and central service concerns.
