Looking for a puppy or a dog not to old

So the story goes. I had a rotty I bought 8 weeks old. I had him a little over 8 years and had to put him down because of bloat. So someone rescued a puggle and asked would I take care of did I want him. Well he passed on recently and I m looking for another puppy or dog that is small to medium breed. That isn t to old I would like some time with the pet. I love dogs and they help me with my bad knees because I walk with them and take them to the park. I have to older sons 17-18 and and there is a cat that shows up every other day. The cat comes eats sleeps a little bit and leaves I guess it s the town cat. I m looking for a new friend as I m not someone to go out. I m on Ssdi so spending money isn t an option now. I look for that riding partner when I drop one of my sons off school work or practice for their sports. I do not take a dog to the store and leave him her in the car ever. I do like to take him her for the rides I go on to the park down the road. Really I m looking for a new friend. I have experience with small and large breeds. I will provide a safe and fun environment for him her. He she will have their own full size chair next to my bed unless they like to come and watch tv on the bed with me. I look as a pet as a member of my family. I simply don t have the extra cash at this time. I spent money on the vet the blood work and everything and my puggle still passed on. I then paid to cremate him. So funds are limited to pay for a friend
