Rene Escovedo s Instruction Practice Rene s fun and friendly approach to instruction is a positive way for all students to learn the basic fundamentals of grip and fulcrum techniques for the applied rudiments of drumming while working on developing a sense of feel and time with in them selves. In addition students will be asked what types of music they like. This approach allows Rene to engage the students abilities while working on their own unique songs and by also remaining focused on learning the basic fundamentals of drumming. Rene will also challenge students as their skill levels grow by providing them with fun contemporary materials that helps keep the students wanting to study. Each student takes their own individual amount of time to be absolutely sure of them selves or their parents have to be sure that the drums are going to be their instrument of choice. Most importantly I always try to make sure that each student continues to have a fun positive experience while absorbing the knowledge they will need to build a strong foundation for the further use of their musical interpretations. Rene provides a great environment for drum and percussion instruction as he is currently teaching the majority of his students at a great local recording studio this offer s a very unique experience for his students. Rene also has the option to record his students progress using video and audio to create a log as they move through there lessons. All students will also have the opportunity to play side by side with Rene in the drum work shop room. Lesson Fee s & Price Details Rate 300.00 per month includes four 1 hour private lessons. Locations Oakland California. Equipment Beginning students will want to invest in drum sticks a practice pad and a metronome. After a student has mastered some basic skills Rene can then discuss whether or not a drum kit is appropriate. Consultation A Flat Fee of 150.00 Rene will be happy to look at anyone s kit in order to explain the proper basic technique for any size set up.
