I DO NOT HAVE A TRUCK only a small car. (NOTE Misspellings were deliberate to avoid searches for work I DON T do.) I do NOT work in Seattle or farther north of Renton but DO work in Redmond Bellevue Sammamish and more Sometimes Handyman for hire call ---X is not enough to convince a home or business owner to hire someone so if you ll please take the time to read this mini-novel you will be glad you did. Thank you I m almost 60 years old honest dependable hard-working clean cut NOT a druggie or a drunk. I have a valid driver s license and a clean reliable insured compact CAR (I do NOT own a truck). I have most basic hand tools for the work I do but can often borrow certain specialty tools I don t have. I ll show up when I say I will (and call if I m running late) and work until the job is done. If I don t think I can do a job I ll let you know up front. I won t pretend I m an expert at everything. I ve done rental move-out & foreclosure clean-ups and minor repairs since back in the early 80 s. 98% of people I have done work for said they ll use me again in the future and I get a LOT of repeat calls. Everyone who hires me appreciate my friendliness attitude honesty and sense of humor. I can provide literally hundreds of refs from people who I ve done odd jobs for as well as character refs I ve driven up to 26-foot box trucks for employers in delivery jobs so if you need to rent a truck I can drive it. I work great without supervision If you leave for errands I don t stop working or take a bunch of breaks You can feel safe and comfortable leaving me alone in your home If you need to leave for any reason you can rest assured I will NOT rip you off or snoop through your stuff Honesty is my 1 priority and I m even willing to submit to a background check before I enter your home (if you pay for it) But it would be easier and cheaper just to call some of the many people who have trusted me and been 101% happy with my honesty and integrity I work any day of the week between November and April 1st but NOT WEEKENDS BETWEEN MARCH and OCTOBER. I M ONLY A HANDYMAN doing odd jobs NOT A CONTRACTOR doing major work so I don t charge nearly as much as some people do. Sure I could charge more and most people I agree that my work is worth much more (many even pay me more than I ask for) but I m not greedy and I want to be fair and affordable. Don t let my low rates make you think my work is low quality Ask someone I ve done work for and you will find I do great work at a very fair price And I m always more than happy to e-mail you TONS of recent local reference contacts of people I have done work for Plus if you would like to see before and after pictures of a bunch of my work I would be happy to send you some. I only charge 20 an hour which is VERY reasonable for the scope of work I do. With minimum wage 11.50 to 15 an hour in most areas now you won t find anyone who will do the work I do for much less than 30-50 or more per hour (people tell me all the time how much others charge) but I only charge 20 per hour. I do have a MINIMUM CHARGE of 20 even if it s only 10 minutes of work. Add bridge toll if I have to cross the narrows. In PIERCE COUNTY I have a 1 hour minimum of 20 but do half-hour increments after that So up to 1 hour is only 20 1 hour to 90 minutes is 30 2 hours is 40 2-1 2 hours is 50 and so on. You will RARELY find anyone who has HALF HOUR rates In all parts of KING COUNTY I have a 2-hour minimum charge PLUS 10 for gas if north of Kent-Des Moines Hwy or east of Auburn (and bridge toll if I cross the narrows). So if I work in Renton Redmond Bellevue Sammamish Thurston County Kitsap County or other areas outside Pierce County the minimum charge will be 40. This is because of the hours I have to spend in traffic each way get lost burn up gas or just not making it worth my time. That 40 is for between 5 minutes and 2 hours of work then it goes to half hour increments after 2 hours. Some people have said all this is confusing so here is a better idea 1 hour minimum charge within Pierce County then hour blocks at 10 after first hour. ( 20 30 40 50 etc.) 2 hour minimum (plus gas) for anywhere outside of Pierce County. Add 6.00 for bridge toll if I have to cross the Narrows. Add 10 for gas if over 20 miles one way from my house. See that was actually NOT very hard to understand. Just wanted to be clear. CASH ONLY preferred to start. Once I work for you and get to know you I will accept checks. IF by chance you live out of state or several counties away but have a way I can get inside at a local home or business we can possibly arrange payment through PayPal. It s kind of a hassle and it doesn t put gas in my car or food on my table but I want the work. I m sure you understand. I LL START WITH WHAT I DO NOT DO (Was forced to purposely misspell words so they would stop coming up in searches ) NO working with or replacing ANY gass appliances (Not a fan of gass & flames.) NO Lon moe-ing weed eating or any other lon care. Sorry. NO hanging taping texturing or other sheetrawk work of any kind. NO trimmwerk or molding. NO karpet floring tyle lynoleum installation ONLY removal. NO glasss repair of ANY kind large or small. NO rewfing or rewf repairs of any kind except cleaning and applying moss killer. NO paynting or stayning of any kind. Please do not ask. NO maysonry konkreet seament or foundaysion work. NO working with or around farm animals. NO pulling weeds or crawling around in gardens. NO digging or landskayping work (I m not a fan of dirt or mud). NO deetayling cars. NOTHING involving crawling under a house or mobile home HERE IS JUST SOME OF WHAT I WILL DO Rental Foreclosure clean-ups (done this for many years for realtors buyers and flippers). Clean gutters & downspouts or re-secure loose ones (your ladder). Change install locks & knobs and hinges. Install deadbolts and other door locks in wood or metal doors (I have all sizes of hole saws). Install ceiling fans (with or without lights). Replace interior or exterior light fixtures track lighting porch lights more. Install (new or replacement) dishwashers and hook them up. Replace light switches dimmers timers plus standard or GFCI outlets and thermostats. Install exhaust fan timers and replace fans in bathrooms. Install (replace) and hook up washers dryers refrigerators ovens and other appliances. Replace or install 3-wire or 4-wire pigtails to dryers and or ranges. Replace oven elements & stove-top burners also cook-top stoves. Install new or replacement garbage disposals. Install vertical blinds mini-blinds and curtains rods. Replace interior or exterior doors hinges etc (even pre-hung doors). Pressure wash siding roofs gutters driveways sidewalks etc (your pressure washer or rental). Install smoke detectors and or CO2 sensors even hang fire extinguishers. Clean-up & hauling of trash & yard waste etc (you provide truck or trailer). Minor plumbing repairs replacement (faucets toilets sinks etc). Install overhead microwaves (above stove). Replace toilet valves flappers wax rings or entire toilets. Replace kitchen or bathroom faucets or repair dripping ones. Replace outside hose bibs (faucets) or repair dripping ones. Replace hot water tanks and or the heating elements. Repair small holes in walls up to 1 foot diameter. Adjust and or rehang bi-fold closet doors replace rollers tracks etc. Install weather stripping around doors and windows. Replace wyndoe and door screens in original frames. (I do have the screen tool) Caulk around bathroom tubs showers sinks etc. Caulk around exterior windows and door jambs inside or outside. Load unload moving trucks and even driving them (I ve driven up to 26-foot box trucks). Furniture assembly desks entertainment centers shelves dressers bed frames BBQ s bikes more. Outdoor lon furniture assembly like table sets chairs swings sheds and more. Minor carpentry (repair porches decks steps minor fence repair more). Program remotes for home electronics garage door openers and most car alarms. Even car audio and security installations (Done this since the late 70 s ).
