Sony Betamax SL5400 VCR
A professional model used by a film & video making company. It is one of numerous equipment used by them while in business. Unit is in very good condition aside from some scuffs on the top. Unit powers up and is in working order but I cannot test because I have only one apparently broken tape. The motors sound very good in fwd reverse and the ejection system works perfectly as well. It s possible that some belts should be replaced and capstain cleaning needed as this is a 1979 model. As is. It was very innovative at the time and retailed for 1250 (equivalent to over 3000 now). It has the original remote but also has what appears to be an upgraded remote as well. The 2nd remote is the same as the original except it has an additional function. The 2nd remote was I believe for the SL5600 model. All lights and clock work fine. Some of the features were new on the market at the time such as built in cue review & audio dubbing. Unit is sold as is but seems all in order and came from a reputable company. Built like a tank and weighs 36 lbs. This unit can be used to digitize beta tapes of which many are out there but with no machine to get the job done with. In that regard it has far more value than 100. If I dont sell it here that s what I intend to do with it but I need cash now............ pics to follow as soon as I can get to some wifi
