The Oklahoma State University Department of Nutritional Sciences is seeking a qualified candidate for a non-tenure track faculty position at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor of Professional Practice who will serve as the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) Director. This 11-month position will start no earlier than July 1 2018 (contingent upon available funding). OSU is seeking individuals who are qualified within their field and will work collaboratively with faculty and staff to support student success within the Department of Nutritional Sciences in the College of Human Sciences. As Director of the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) implement and monitor ACEND accreditation standards including development and assessment of program goals and outcomes and required student learning outcomes. Write required reports and organize accreditation site visits. Develop DPD policies and procedures. Maintain dietetic student and DPD alumni records. Survey external stakeholders including employers. Remain current on changes in nutrition and dietetics education and teaching methods and the dietetics profession including completion of Commission on Dietetic Registration continuing professional education requirements to maintain registration (RD). Write dietetic internships scholarships awards and work recommendations. As Assistant Director of the Dietetic Internship (DI) Program organize and monitor graduate student dietetic interns community rotations and provide orientation to interns and preceptors. Serve as preceptor for some dietetic interns community activities. Work with forms related to courses degree sheets plans of study catalog revision articulation agreements and affiliation agreements. Organize and participate in program department college recruitment activities. Create and update departmental website content. Serve on DI advisory and admissions committees. Serve on NSCI curriculum and assessment committees. Serve as undergraduate advisor. Teach spring summer and fall courses NSCI 2211 Careers in Dietetics NSCI 3440 Pre-professional Experience in NSCI NSCI 4111 Professional Preparation for Careers in Dietetics and NSCI 4331 Quantity Food Production Practicum.. Minimum qualifications The minimum requirements for appointment to this position at the rank of Instructor are (1) a master s degree in Nutritional Sciences or related field (2) the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist credential and (3) at least three years of experience post-credentialing. The minimum requirements for appointment to this position at the rank of Assistant Professor are (1) earned Ph.D. degree in Nutritional Sciences or related field (ABD candidates may be considered) (2) the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist credential and (3) and at least three years of experience post-credentialing. The candidate should have knowledge of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) operation and requirements. Understanding of University College and Departmental procedures. Ability to interact with and advise students. Familiarity with state s hospitals clinics and other agencies providing nutrition and health care services. Strong organizational skills. Proficiency with computers and common computer software.
