Electrical Machine Controls Technician Troubleshooter - Akron Ohio - JOB 18-00046 Pay Range 18.00 - 23.00 HR Permanent Position with Benefits. Akron Ohio Manufacturer is seeking an Electrical Machine Controls Technician to troubleshoot and assist with rebuild and controls modification of very large scale lathes mills grinders gear shapers drills. REQUIREMENTSHigh School graduate with Associate degree or technical school certificate is preferred Read wiring diagrams schematics & install conduit and interconnecting wiring between the control panels and the junction boxes. Electrical machine tool controls knowledge to troubleshoot repair program upgrade rebuild retrofit remanufacture aging controls servomotors and drives. Swapping outdated electrical controls with a state-of-the-art PLC (programmable logic control). Machine wiring and technical assembly of industrial machinery working from machine wiring diagrams blueprints & schematics. Familiar with electrical motors solenoids sensors valves and switches as necessary. Past electrical and mechanical machine assembly experience is a plus to include motors solenoids sensors valves and switches Any experience with hydraulics and pneumatics is a plus Machine testing experience Knowledge experience measuring and working with high and low voltage machine power and controls Familiar with electrical test equipment (volt ohm current meter) Past experience loading and testing programs Familiar with high voltage AC power and low voltage DC controls Troubleshooting skills are a must Willing to travel 25% with occasional overnight Candidates may be required to submit to a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
