Immanuel Christian Center Hosts Fundraising Shoe Drive Event on Sat Feb 10th Sat. Feb 24th Sat. March 10th & Thurs. March 15WHAT The public is invited to participate in a shoe drive to raise funds for replacement of A C Units at Immanuel Christian Center s facility. Donations of gently worn used and new shoes will be accepted. The amount of money raised is determined by the total weight of the shoes collected . All donated shoes will be redistributed to microenterprise partners through Funds2Orgs a for profit social enterprise and used in developing nations for impoverished people.WHEN Sat Feb 10th 10am-1pm Sat Feb 24th 10am-1pm Sat Mar 10th 10am-1pm Thu Mar 15th 11am-4pm (last day of ICC s Shoe Drive)WHERE Immanuel Christian Center 4511 W Indian School Road Phoenix AZ 85031DETAILS In the US alone over 600 million pairs of shoes are thrown away per year. The materials used to manufacture a pair of shoes are created from chemical compounds that will create health hazards if left to disintegrate openly or in landfills. By donating your gently worn used and new shoes to the ICC s Shoe Drive your shoes are given a second chance to make a difference in people s lives around the world. About Immanuel Christian Center Immanuel Christian Center Inc. is an Arizona Not-a-Profit Corporation. It s a Christian based Religious organization. ICC serves the needs of our community through faith and administers Worship services and outreach programs to those in need of counseling mentoring and family support. We are excited about our shoe drive. Most people have extra shoes in their closets they would like to donate to us. By doing so we raise money for our cause the replacement of A C Units and we have the chance to help families in developing nations who need economic opportunities. It s a win-win for everyone. The church is not asking for money. We just want your support in donating shoes.
