The Bay Area Trauma Recovery Clinic provides direct and targeted treatment for the symptoms of PTSD. Anyone is welcome to call our main intake line at 510-660-1493 and go through a phone screening. If you seem like a good fit we would then schedule an intake to confirm we are a good match and to provide treatment recommendations. We prefer clients to have a foundation of emotion regulation skills before starting treatment but for those who need some support in that area we recommend they start with our Emotion Efficacy Therapy Group. Some clients are approved to start directly into individual treatment which includes EMDR prolonged exposure mindfulness and a variety of other interventions based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Sometimes clients are required to start with the EET group before they can begin the individual work. All of the treatment at our clinic is provided by student clinicians who are in their 3rd year of working towards their doctorates in clinical psychology. They are trained and supervised by licensed experienced clinicians who have extensive experience in the treatment of trauma and PTSD. This allows our supervisors to provide their expertise to a wider range of clients and also allows us to offer low fees on a sliding scale basis that range from 25- 80 based on income. One of the few things we require of clients is that they are willing to come into contact with some sort of aspect of their trauma memory by visualizing and engaging with the thoughts and feelings that come up in response to this memory.
