FMDNS Mission An important value of Fred Moore Day Nursery School is to have a safe and healthy environment that will meet the developmental needs of the children. In order to do this we must recruit creative resourceful and caring volunteers. The success of the center comes in meeting the needs of the children and families in our community. Position Title Volunteer Office Aid Position Description The volunteer office aid will be responsible for but not limited to supporting the office in fulfilling tasks such as filling keeping records sending out and receiving mail and packages making reminder phone calls for other volunteers who are scheduled to come in record donations and keep track in a database for reports. Qualifications Volunteer must know basic computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel Be able to demonstrate strong verbal communication writing and organizational skills Ability to adapt to a fast paced environment Quick learner Punctual and dependable at all times Must exhibit enthusiasm and or interest to learn Pass an FBI background check Volunteers Needed 1 Hours 8 hours per week Tuesdays and Thursdays 9 00am to 12 00pm Reports To Volunteer Coordinator and or Vista Volunteer Developer Start Date Apply Within Mission of FMDNS An important value of Fred Moore Day Nursery School is to have a safe and healthy environment that will meet the developmental needs of the children. Position Title Playground Risk Assessment Position Description Volunteer will be responsible for evaluating Fred Moore Day Nursery School s playground. This ensures security & satisfaction for the children when at play. Responsibilities include that all legal requirements for the playground are met recorded and properly maintained according to the Minimum Standards of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Volunteers who commit to this task will be given a Daily Playground Checklist to record such findings after the inspection. The Volunteer will be checking trash cans toy box playgrounds sandbox and inform office of any findings if needed. Qualifications Good writing skills and communication Volunteer should be punctual and reliable Must present a positive attitude to other volunteers staffs Pass an FBI background check Volunteer Needed 1 Hours Monday Wednesday and Friday 5 00pm to 5 30pm Tuesday and Thursday from 12 30pm to 1 00pm Reports To Vista Volunteer Developer and Volunteer Coordinator Start Date Apply Within Position Title Outside Maintenance Job Description Volunteer will be responsible for outside maintenance duties and keeping the premise clean and presentable for the families. The volunteer will be trimming cutting lawn using hands shoveling snow from sidewalk and sprinkle ice salt down to keep the community from failing making sure pipes doors and windows are working properly windows washing and removing garbage that may be unsafe to the public. Qualifications Volunteer must be committed to his her assigned schedule Must hold a High School Diploma Provide certification experience as a maintenance intern or worker Basic working knowledge in plumbing and electrical systems Experience working with tools including hand and electrical tools Must be reliable and responsible at all times Pass an FBI background check Volunteer Needed 1 Hours Flexible Your Choice Reports To Volunteer Coordinator and or Vista Volunteer Development Start Date Apply within Position Title Laundry Attendant Job Description The volunteer will be every classroom to collect dirty baby linens and clothes that need to be washed. Volunteer will be responsible for sorting items to be load into machine for wash dry and fold. Volunteer will also deliver belongings to the rooms after being cleaned and or sanitized. Qualifications Volunteer must be able to operate a wash dry machine properly Must know how to fold sort clothes and organize to deliver Must be punctual committed and reliable Should have knowledge in using detergents Pass an FBI background check Volunteers Needed 1 Hours Mondays thru Fridays 10am-1 00pm 15 days a week Reports To Vista Volunteer Developer and or the Volunteer Coordinator Start Date Apply Within Position Title Toys Maintenance Organizer Job Description Volunteer will be responsible for sanitizing organizing and checking for damaged toys and or battery changes. Volunteer will check for classroom outdoor toys to sort and follow a- fourth step sanitizing process for proper cleaning. After sanitizing the volunteer will place the toys into storage bins shelves cabinet or where they each belong. If a toy seems damaged or need repair the toy Organizer will report findings to the volunteer Coordinator and or Vista Volunteer Developer.
