Mission of FMDNS An important value of the center is to have a safe and healthy environment that will meet the developmental needs of the children. In order to do this we must recruit creative resourceful and caring volunteers. The success of the center comes in meeting the needs of the children and families in our community.Position Title Indoor MaintenanceJob Description The volunteer will be responsible for inside cleaning. The volunteer tasks include deep clean hallways vacuum classrooms rugs dust and furniture pick up trash from offices and windows cleaning. Volunteer will also mop sweep all bathrooms and refill bathroom materials.Qualifications Be able to lift 20lbs or more Volunteer must be flexible and punctual. Must be friendly with staff when acquiring instructions Steady hands and good eye- coordination Should have some experience handling maintenance equipments Pass an FBI background check Volunteer Needed 2Hours Wednesdays and Fridays 9 00am- 1 00pm Position Title Kitchen AssistantJob Description The volunteer should be able to help the cook execute duties effectively and in a timely manner. The volunteer will be responsible for dishwashing sweep mop and clean up counters. Also the assistant will straighten up food and restock pantry take out trash clean up drawers and cabinets. Food handlers are a plus. Please provide current certification if you have it. Qualifications Stamina and enthusiasm Volunteer must be reliable and punctual Must hold a friendly attitude to communicate with others Volunteer should be able to work quickly and effectively Must be able to lift 20 lbs or more Take direction well Must be able to multitask Pass an FBI background check Volunteers needed 1 Position Title Utility and Supply Room OrganizerJob Description Volunteer will be assigned to clean up all of the storage closets available in FMDNS. The volunteer will be in charge for organizing de-cluttering the utility resource rooms and having everything put-in-its-place for better appearance. The specific duties include dusting cabinets drawers mopping floors and sorting all items that are not properly in place into to their original storage.
