For more information about our company please visit our website at www.advance-machine.com Position Overview As a Tool Engineer you must possess a high level of knowledge and experience in working with designing and manufacturing customized tools and equipment. The ideal candidate must be able to work with various engineering design programs and machinery with minimal supervision and work as a team member with other manufacturing professionals when completing large bulk orders or time-sensitive projects. You must have excellent verbal and written English skills when communicating with team members and customers. In addition your other responsibilities are Creating and writing programs using CAD CAM and Mastercam applications Design components for first articles of production Monitor quality by taking measurements detecting malfunctions troubleshooting the manufacturing processes while adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes Complete paperwork to maintain records and department standards Read complex blueprints and or job orders for product specification such as dimensions and specifications Read tooling instructions such as fixtures feed rates cutting speeds depth of cut and determine sequence of operations Preparing cost estimates for materials and custom orders for production Knowledge with CNC Haas Lathes and Milling Machineries are an asset Implementing & supervising the installation and modification of various customized parts Strong knowledge of working with different types of metals aluminum alloy iron etc. Compute dimensions plan layout and determine method and sequence of operations during the manufacturing process Be responsible for achieving the desired quality level of the manufacturing of custom precision parts and supervise junior machinists and other manufacturing technicians to achieve the highest degree of labour efficiency. Position Requirements Completion of a two three year college university program or equivalent in mechanical engineering industrial engineering manufacturing technology or in a related discipline Minimum of 2 5 years of experience as a Tool Engineering Minimum of 2 5 years of experience in tooling and metalworking Minimum of 2 5 years of experience using CAD CAM and Mastercam applications for machining and tooling design Fluency in verbal and written English Ability to perform tasks assignments with minimal supervision.
