Great Dane Trailers is seeking an experienced Trailer Mechanic for our service department in Charlotte NC.Full time position - 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday with possible overtime on weekends.Benefits package includes Full Coverage Insurance after probationary period paid holidays state-of-the-art equipment great facilities and much more RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for repairs and required preventive maintenance of trailers Build rebuild and repair all parts of trailer equipment as may be required in the department assigned to Inspect trouble shoot diagnose and perform maintenance on equipment Must furnish own hand tools Must be able to use hand tools and test equipment Physical activities include walking lifting twisting turning climbing a ladder etc Repair or replace defective parts components or systems Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets manufacturer s specifications and legislated regulations REQUIREMENTS Welding fabrication and carpentry experience Experience as a Trailer Technician Mechanic IS A MUST 1-2 years Mechanical experience preferred Troubleshooting experience PM s and repairs Ability to lift up to 70lbs Ability to work full-time plus overtime if needed Great Dane Trailers is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a Drug Free Workplace.
