Employee Assistance Program Psychologist

This position will be under the umbrella of Guidance Resources. Provide diagnostic and assessment services to OSU faculty and staff on personal or social issues that may interfere with job performance or work relationships. When appropriate refer employees and or family members for assistance to campus community or state agencies for treatment or other help i.e. financial medical vocational legal etc. This consists of providing one-on-one couples or family intake sessions for assessment or diagnosis of OSU faculty and staff. Provide short-term counseling intervention and facilitate a solution to the presenting problem. Refer employee and or family members to counseling or other assistance as needed. On an as-needed basis provide or receive case consultation with other professionals. Furnish guidance and information to University employees and supervisors with regard to performance issues and provide effective intervention and or referral. Serve as ad hoc member of the Behavioral Consultation Team (BCT) when an employee is the object of concern. Will serve as counselor to University staff and liaison with the EAP vendor. Participate in the after-hours crisis response rotation and fulfill any other duties as assigned by the Director of University Counseling Services. Minimum qualifications Doctoral training (Ph.D. Ed.D. Psy.D.) in counseling psychology or related discipline with a minimum of one year post-doctoral experience in mental health. Part of the applicants experience should include prevention education and treatment of substance abuse. Demonstrated competency in clinical group and outreach skills. The successful candidate should be committed to a developmental proactive philosophy involving an active relationship with both the campus and Stillwater community. Experience in a university setting and with a brief therapy model are also desirable. Must be licensed or license eligible in Oklahoma.
