Looking for a family dog before Christmas

I am looking for a dog for my family to give my husband for Christmas Really not too picky on the breed ( no pit bulls please). The dog will have to be kid friendly because we have a 7 yr old daughter We have a friendly male Boston terrier(6 yrs old) and would need a dog that is friendly with other dogs.
