A local growing NE Ohio industrial engineering consulting firm is seeking to hire an Mechanical Engineer with industrial experience such as field engineering verification inspection design & detailing work.REQUIREMENTSBachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree Engineering support for a multidiscipline engineering department. Prefer prior experience in heavy industry work. 2 - 5 years of experience in industrial mechanical engineering design and detailing. Proficient with MS Office (Word Excel Outlook) Experienced with AutoCAD and SolidWorks (3D Modeling) Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) preferably ANSYS is desired but not required. Some experience doing engineering analysis is required. Perform 3D modeling of machined parts or assemblies using SolidWorks Engineering evaluations analysis of mechanical structural piping components and or systems utilizing classical manual analysis and Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Prepare arrangement layout assembly detail drawings in AutoCAD or Solidworks format. Bulk & itemized BOM. Field work field engineering verification & inspection. Write up reports and specifications. Practical knowledge of equipment materials as well as machining fabrication and welding methods a plus. Must be able to work at protected and non-protected heights such as industrial platforms walkways equipment platforms walkways and aerial lifts utilizing the proper fall restraint equipment. Must be able to work in confined spaces such as industrial basements machinery equipment pits vessels tanks ducts etc. to support field engineering and inspections. Must be able to safely negotiate industrial stairs and ladders. TRAVEL - Engineering and construction monitoring services are provided to both domestic and international clients. Travel within the US and overseas may be required to support the project. This may require Day travel to local client locations. Overnight short term to long term travel within US. Short term to long term travel overseas.
