North Douglas Child CARE Society O A North Douglas Preschool in Victoria BC is looking for a Full- Time and Permanent Early Childhood Educator - Position Early Childhood Educator (One Position available) - Work Hours 8 hrs per day 40 hrs per week (full-time) Permanent - Wage 18.00 hour - Benefit 10 days paid vacation per year Requirement - Previous experience is an asset - Valid ECE license or ECE-A certificate is required - Education A diploma in early childhood education is required Duties and Responsibilities - Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical cognitive emotional and social development of children - Lead activities by telling or reading stories teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest - Provide opportunities to express creativity through the media of art dramatic play music and physical activity - Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating dressing and toilet habits - Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents guardians or supervisor - Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children - Assess the abilities interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members - Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health security and well-being of children Please e-mail us your resume and cover letter to northdouglaschurchhr(at)gmail.com with the subject line of Full-Time Early Childhood Educator Please note that multiple submissions by one individual for this position will not be considered.
