Assistant Director of HR Partner Services

The Assistant Director of HR Partner Services assists the Director with providing leadership in maximizing contributions of OSU Human Resources by guiding HR professionals to build productive business relationship with assigned units of campus and proactively address employee relations issues. Areas of responsibility include staffing employee relations compliance compensation and policy interpretation. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers copiers and presentation equipment. This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8 00 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position requires some evening and minimal weekend work. Travel is primarily local during the business day although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected. The physical demands of this position described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally required to stand walk sit use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls reach with hands and arms talk and hear. Required qualifications Bachelor s degree in Human Resources Management or related field. 5-7 years of professional HR experience including 1-3 years of leadership and supervisory experience. Experience with classification and compensation techniques. Experience in resolving difficult employee relations issues. Knowledge of FMLA FLSA ADA Title VII workers compensation and other related employment laws. Experience in staffing and other human resources areas.
