Alternate Material Handler Floor Person - 1st Shift

Summary Description Responsible for moving materials supplies and finished goods to designated places in the facility. Stage raw material for production. Track raw material inventory movement using software systems and spreadsheets.Analyze daily weekly needs for raw materials and anticipated product runs. Supply proper raw materials to each location container. This must be performed in a timely efficient and safe manner to prevent any interruptions to the production. Dry material using proper equipment in accordance with product requirements. Perform cleaning of the material feed systems on the molding machines during set-up operations. Clean hoppers dryers and grinders. Weigh and track material from job orders and verify with software systems. Manually or using hand truck fork truck performs various material handling duties in the facility. Disposes of scrap weighs bracing cardboard and strapping places in proper containers or designated areas. Prepares daily records and or logs. Other tasks as assigned by supervisor WORKING CONDITIONS Job Hazards will work with chemicals hot plastic and machinery in addition to a hot and cold environment.EDUCATION RELATED EXPERIENCE High School graduate. Molding background and two years working with plastic resins.QUALIFICATIONS Must be able to read write and speak English and be able to do basic math equations. Experienced using MS Excel and tracking material usage a plus. Must have a positive attitude a satisfactory work history maintain a good attendance record and work well with co-workers.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to obtain a fork truck license or certificate. Must have correctable vision physical dexterity and have the ability to lift and carry. Must wear personal protective equipment where posted or required.
