Windows System Administrator II

The Windows Systems Administrator II will be responsible for assisting in developing and maintaining the company s Informational Technology systems that run on the company s network infrastructure. Responsible for assisting with developing and maintaining the company s computer systems. Monitors and enforces servers and systems under best practice guidelines. Monitors and troubleshoots system and network performance issues. Practices and maintains disaster recovery plans for associated systems. Works closely with team members in developing and deploying computer systems. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Performs as backup Helpdesk Support as appropriate. To able to work weekends as needed. Nature and ScopeThe Windows Systems Administrator II reports to the Sr. Manager IS & Technology. The incumbent initiates and develops processes expected to result in partial or complete project fulfillment related to products or needed information. Five or more years in systems administration or related areas. Strong organizational and project oriented skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be detailed oriented. Willing to learn and understand current and future technology trends. Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel. Ability to work well under pressure and within a team environment. Ability to create compose and edit written material. Required skills Windows Server 2008 2012 Active Directory DNS DHCP Group Policy Microsoft Systems Center & Configuration Manager VMware ESXi 5.0 or above & NSX Symantec Backup Exec & NetBackup including LTO tape technology Understanding of networking protocols (Cisco or equivalent) Storage Area Network Devices NAS iSCSI (NetApp preferred) Computer and Network Security Optional but desired skills SolarWinds Network Application Performance Monitor VoIP telephony Fundamental Linux experience The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to sit talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand walk use hands to finger handle or feel reach with hands and arms and stoop kneel or crouch The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds.
